I was employed as a writing tutor at the Stony Brook University Writing Center for three years. I worked as a teaching assistant for a History of the English Language course for one semester. My brief involvement in the Secondary Teacher Education Program has allowed me to gain experience working with adolescents. Relevant coursework includes: independent study in writing center philosophy, literary analysis and argumentation, history of the English language, mentoring writers, teaching education, and adolescent psychology.
