Experience
I spent my career working in the financial services field, and am now moving on to focus on teaching. I am semi-retired, and have experience with research as well as management and financials. I have been employed with the University of Phoenix, where I taught online courses in business research as well as statistics. Throughout my career, I have trained credit analysts with varying levels of experience. I tend to approach my lessons by using real life problems, and I try to make sure that my students are engaged in the material they are being presented with. By participating in the lessons, I believe that one will have much more fun learning. When you are enjoying what you're being taught, the lesson will be more effective in the long term. I try to be very supportive of my students and let them know that my number one goal is for them to be successful and to walk away with a sense of understanding. Rather than just memorizing the material, I want my students to understand the actual concepts. I look forward to working with my students and am eager to embark on an educational journey with them.
